LUMBINI
Lumbini is the birthplace of Gautam Buddha, Light of Asia, which was destined to be the prevalent religion in Asia. It lies in southwest of Kathmandu just 300 kilometers away. Buddhas teachings of existence of suffering and the way out of the suffering are as applicable today and will be applicable in future. Lumbini is of extreme archeological importance and also a UNESCO Cultural Heritage Site. It is said that Prince Siddhartha Gautam, who later became Buddha the Englightened One. The main shrines of Lumbini are the newly restored Mayadevi Temple, the Ashoka Pillar behind the temple and the Lake Shakya Puskarini where Mayadevi is said to have delivering the little Buddha into the world. The other places to see are sacred garden,China temple, Korean temple,The Lumbini Museum, Lumbini International Research Institute (LIRI), Kapilvastu Museum and many more. POKHARA
Pokhara is the major tourist destination in Nepal. It is 200km west of Kathmandu, standing 884m above sea level. Chitwan National Park
Chitwan National Park is the first national park in Nepal established in 1973 and granted the status of World Heritage Site in 1984. It covers an area of 932 km2 (360 sq mi) and is located in the subtropical Inner Terai Lowland of south-central Nepal in the Chitwan District. In altitude it ranges from about 100 m (330 ft) in the river valleys to 815 m (2,674 ft) in the Churia Hills. In the north and west of the protected area the Narayani Rapti river system forms a natural boundary to human settlements.It is a rich natural area of 68 species of mammals, 544 species of birds, and 126 species of fish have been recorded in the park. The park is especially renowned for its protection of One Horned Rhinoceros, Royal Bengal Tiger and Gharial Crocodile.
