Overview

Tamor River Rafting combines one of the best short treks of Nepal with some really challenging white water action. Four days of trekking from the nearest road access to the put in point through the remote villas, forest and offers amazing mountain views Kanchanjunga, Makalu with an exhilarating river journey. The adventure of Tamur’s 4 to 5 class constant rapids will bring descending rafts and kayaks down in dread.

We start our journey from kathmandu to Biratnagar by bus or by air. We begin with a four day trek from Basantapur up over Milke Danda Range to Dobhan and from Dobhan our rafting begins and end at Chatara. The Tamor River mingles the trekking with rafting which fulfills the interest of both trekking lovers and rafting lovers.

After your arrival in Kathmandu, you will be addressed and welcomed by representatives. We will then be transferred to the hotel booked for your comfortable accommodation.

We start the day with sightseeing of popular destinations around Kathmandu valley. After the half day sightseeing, pre discussion of the trek is done in the presence of trek leader, crew and other participants of the trek. We will delightfully brief more about the trek and your queries will be answered.

Accommodation in Basantapur

We take morning flight from Kathmandu to Biratnagar and drive to Basantapur.

Accommodation in Mangalbare in beach camp

Today, we trek to Mangalbare from Basantapur. Trekking is 4-5 hrs long with magnificent views of peaks of this region.

Accommodation campsite in Chauki

We continue our trek to Chauki accompanied by beautiful views of Kanchanjunga .

Accommodation in Guphapokhari

Trek continues with similar trail to Guphapokhari.

Accommodation in Dovan

Trek continues with similar awesome views and sceneries to Dovan.

We finally start rafting from Dovan as we get in the divine Tamur River. The river offers us exciting white water rafting experiences. We raft for around 4-5 hrs today and arrange campsite for overnight stay.

Accommodation enjoyable on a sandy beach

Thrill continues today with more water fun. We pass by some small villages and enjoy flora and fauna of this region.

Today is our rest day after completion of thrilling first phase of rafting. We can choose to either lay down on the beach sunbathing or arrange fun beach sports activities.

Adventure rises high like the water waves around you. Everything is thrilling today as we continue to raft through mighty Tamor. Day ends with campfire and overnight stay camp on the river beach.

We continue to raft through last sections of Tamur today. Our rafting trip comes to near end. The last day in water fun is enjoyed before our scheduled return.

We successfully take our fun filled adventurous ride to an end in Chatara. We then drive to Biratnagar and fly to Kathmandu or simply drive our way back to the capital city.
