Overview

We have catered the needs of mountaineers climbing Ramdung peak, Expedition / Mountaineering in a professional and committed manner Ramdung Peak 5925m is situated south of Na in the upper Rolwaling region. It is one of a cluster of peaks surrounding the Yalung La which provides an access to upper Rolwaling from the south via the Khare Khola. A team led by Bill Murray first climbed the peak in 1952. Ramdung peak is an ideal summit for trekking and climbing groups as the normal route to it, through the glaciers on north-east side is straightforward. The mountain offers a panoramic view of mountain ranges from Langtang to Everest and also a splendid view of Gauri Sankar himal and Menlungtse from the Ramdung peak.

 

Itinerary

Accommodation at hotel

We will pick you up at Tribhuwan international airport in our private vehicle and drop you at hotel.

Have breakfast and we will go for Kathmandu sightseeing. We will visit monkey temple, bouddhanath , Kathmandu durbar square and have lunch in between that .Then walk through Thamel street and Ason and then back to hotel and have dinner.

From Kathmandu, we drive to Dolakha through Lamosangu and Charikot by private vehicle.

We start today’s trek from Dolakha and walk towards Shigati via Piguti. It takes about four hours. The trail goes through the gravel road and we come across different villages. We need to cross many streams and jungles in this trail. We come to see many orchids, rhododendrons and other vegetation.

Early morning we will head towards Jagat and it takes about seven hours from Sigati. We will go along the river side and flat land. On the way, we come to notice many small villages inhabited by the mixed community. On the trail, we have to cross the jungles several times. We also have to cross the suspension bridge to reach Jagat. It is small town and people from the different cultural background live here.

We will go to Simigaon from Jagat. It takes almost seven and half hours. As we proceed forward, we follow the flat path and it ascends and descends through the thick jungle. You cross the suspension bridges several times. You also come across many villages on the trail. Small tea shops and local shops are available on the trail. Then we ascend up to Simigaon and this small village is inhabited by the Buddhist and Hindus.

It takes approximately six hours to reach Daldung La from Simigaon. We come across beautiful Sherpa village in the trail. This trail is rich in different species of flora and fauna. After this uphill trek, we will follow ascending and descending path. At the same time, we can enjoy the splendid view of the surrounding. We witness the Yak Naka, a temporary Yak shed, if it happens in the season.

From Daldung La, we trek towards Beding which takes about seven hours. The trek slowly goes up through the different species of plants and rhododendron trees. We trek over the suspension bridge over the deep gorge. It makes the trek more delightful. Finally we arrive at a big Sherpa village, Beding.

Today is the rest day for acclimatization. We can go for a short hike in the surrounding for acclimatization. In the surrounding, the breathtaking views of Gauri Shankar and Tibetan Mountain arrest your attention.

From Beding, we trek towards Na and its four hours trek. We can explore the upper slopes of the valley for snow today. We can also visit the nearby glacier too. The trek goes up along the river bank. This place is very open and it offers fresh air and charming sound the river. As the trek proceeds forward, you come across the panoramic view of the mountains. In addition, we also come across the Sherpa village and explore their specialties.

Then the trek further goes towards Ramdung Go. We can witness the mountains such as Gauri Shanker, Menlung, Yalung and the mountains of the Tibet on the trail. At the end, we arrive at Yalung glacier camp today.

Trek from Na (4180m.) to Yalung Glacier (4750m.) which takes about six and half hours. The trek ascends high glacier walk with the land enriched with white ice all over with crampon and ice sacks. You will be staying overnight in the Yalung Glacier high camp.

We will trek from Yalung Glacier to Ramdung Base Camp ( 5150m) and it takes about six hours. You trek uphill until you reach Yalung Danda and then will trek steep ascent path to Base Camp. The trail we pass through is of rocky glacier. . We will be able to witness the various views of mountains like Gauri Shanker, Menlung, Yalung and the mountains of the Tibet.

We will climb Ramdung peak and be back to Yalung Glacier (4750m) which takes about nine hours. At summit we can have panoramic views of Gauri Shankar, Menlung, Yalung, Pigphero go shar peak, Numbur Himal, Yalung peak and the mountains of Tibet

Trek from Yalung Glacier to Na. The trial descends down back to Na; we will be able to enjoy the scenic beauty of the environment.

Rest in Na. We will be preparing for the trek to Tso Rolpa Lake side.

Trek Tso Rolpa to Trakarding Glacier (4800m.) Early morning we will walk through the glaciers throughout the day and will be able to experience the new enchanting beauties that would add extra dimensions into your trial.

We will trek from Trakarding Glacier to Tashi Lapcha Pedi Camp (5755m.) The trail will still be ascending through some rock climbing and a gradual walk on the glacier. We will camp into Tashi Lapcha Pedi Camp today.

We will climb from Tashi Lapcha Pedi to Tashi Lapcha Pass (5755m.) to Tashi Cape. We will climb up the Tashi Lapcha Pedi and cross the Tashi Lapcha Pass through Tashi Cape. The trial will completely be over the snow straight up and then steep down towards Tashi Cape.

We will trek from Tashi Cape to Thyomgbo (4350m.) Today we will be experiencing a bit easy glacier walking. The trail descends down towards Thyomgbo.

Trek Thyomgbo to Thame (3820m.) Early morning we will trek down to Thame. This trail gradually descends, and you will have an added experience of easier trail and will be able to enjoy the natural beauty of the environment.

From Thame, we will trek to Namche Bazzar. In this point, you get your first glimpse of the peaks of the Khumbu region such as Ama Dablam, Thamserku and Kusum Kangaru. After passing several villages and numerous teashops, the trail further descends steep towards the bridge over the Thamo.The trail takes has ups and downsthat lead us towards Namche bazaar.

Boosted by all our new red blood cells, we rush down the footpath going to Sagarmatha National Park gate, in Jorsale. Later, Lukla’s footpath leads us through the first villages we saw two weeks ago: Gumila, Phakding, Choplung. The high peaks disappear behind the hills. In Lukla, This last evening in the mountains is the ideal opportunity for a farewell party with the sherpa guides and porters, where we can sample some chhang, try Nepali and Sherpa dance and look back on a memorable trekking experience and staffs are expecting for precious Tips.

Fly from Lukla to Kathmandu we will take an early morning flight back to Kathmandu .

On this day we will roam around Kathmandu valley.We can go to monkey temple, bouddha nath, Kathmandu durbar square and we will have lunch in between that.

Transfer to international airport for your final departure. The trip ends, our Airport Representative will drop you to the Tribhuvan International Airport for your flight departure from Nepal.
