Overview

Poon Hill trek is the interesting route for trekking in Nepal. This part of trek is recommendable for all around the year and for any age group. Gorapani is also famous for its vast forest of rhododendron, magnolia and wild orchids so the most recommendable season is March-April. Enjoy trekking in the spectacular mountain scenery through charming villages inhabited by the Gurungs, Magars dense rhododendron forests full of birds and deep sub-tropical valleys, all set below the Annapurnas with the picturesque peak of Machhapuchhare (Fish Tail Peak) dominating the skyline. At the climax of this trek you will climb Poon Hill at dawn to enjoy one of the most spectacular mountain scapes on Earth. As the sun touches the snow-capped summits the Himalayan giants, Dhaulagiri (8,167m) ,Annapurna I(8051m) and Annapurna South(7219m) along with a maze of other peaks, slowly begin to appear, like magic, before our eyes.Ghorepani Poonhill trekking is an easy and enjoyable destination. Trekking is essentially day hiking and doesn’t require any special training. However, good physical condition, a love of walking, and a desire to enjoying the spectacular views of the mountains and encounter village life are essential.

Itinerary

Accommodation Hotel

Our representative staff will pick you from the airport and transfer to the hotel.

Early morning after breakfast drive to the second biggest city Pokhara (200km.) for 7hrs. It is one of the most picturesque spot of Nepal, enhanced by its lovely lakes Fewa, Begnas, and Rupa, magnificent views of five peaks of Annapurna, Dhaulagiri, Manaslu, Machhapuchhre, and others. Prepare for tomorrow trek.

Accommodation lodge.

Drive to trekking start point Birehanti & trek starts to Tikedhunga or Ulleri for about 5hrs. This is the easiest day for trek though you need to walk very steep hill that will be tiring. But the view of Himalaya that you see during your walk will let you feel awesome and forget your tiredness.

This day you will walk through pastures and cultivated fields, through rhododendron and oak forests. The trekking distance will be 4-5hrs. You will be very close to the Himalaya.

Wake up early morning, ascent to GhorepaniPoonhill(3210 m) to see spectacular sunrise & mountain view of Annapurna Ranges so close to you as if you can touch it.The trail climbs along ridges and through pine and rhododendron forests. Ghandruk It has excellent close -up views of Annapurna South, Machhapurchhe and Himachuli.

Early morning breakfast, then trek back to Birethanti then drive to hotel.

This is your free day. Experience the paraglidig  Fly like free bird with eye catching view of the Pokhara valley and Spectacular Mountains.

Drive back to Kathmandu. You can take rest either walk to local market – Ason Street and Kathmandu Durbar Square.

Swayambhunath is an ancient religious architecture atop a hill in the Kathmandu Valley, west of Kathmandu city. It is also known as the Monkey Temple as there are holy monkeys living in the north-west parts of the temple. The temple of Dakshinkali is situated about two kilometers south of Shesh Narayan, which is regarded as one of most important Hindu goddesses. Pilgrims visit this temple to offer their prayer and animal sacrifices to the goddess. Besides, this place has been developed as a popular picnic spot.Budanilkantha,about 8 km. north of Kathmandu, at the base of Shivapuri hill is a remarkable colossal statue of Lord Vishnu, reclining on a bed of snakes. This is one of the masterpieces of stone sculptures of Lichchhavi period. This fifth century statue is in the middle of pond.Kathmandu Durbar Square: It is the historic seat of royalty. The Durbar square, with its old temples and places, epitomizes the religious and cultural life of people. It is here that kings of Nepal are crowed and their coronations solemnized. Interesting things to see her are Taleju Temple built by Mahendra Mall in 1549 AD, the temple of KalBhairav, the god of destruction, Nautalle Durbar, Coronation Nasal Chowk, the GaddiBaithak, the statue of King Pratap Mall, the Big Drum, the Jagannath temple and Kasthmandap. It was listed in the UNESCO World Heritage Monument list in 1979 AD.
