Overview

Annapurna region is a rare combination of long arrays of snow-capped peaks, crystal clear lakes, turbulent rivers with deep gorges, Tibetan monasteries, hot-springs, and picturesque villages, inhabited by simple and friendly ethnic people. Panchase trek commences from the lakeside town of Pokhara traveling southwest before looping into the main Annapurna trekking region. The area around Panchase is well known for its array of bird and wildlife.

Itinerary

Accommodation At Pokhara hotel

On this day we will head towards Pokhara It will take 6-7 hours to reach Pokhara.

We will take a chance to wonder round the truly peaceful stupa and will continue down through the forest on small walking trails, before climbing back up to join an open jeep trail snaking round the hill, which will take you through the village of Lukum Swara. The final climb of today will take us up to Bumdi village, home to Gurung and Brahman people, where you will spend the night and can learn more about these cultures.

Today we will take a short climb , the track that continues through beautiful forest where we can see mountains regularly peeking out between the trees. We can see glimpse of a monkey emerging from the trees briefly at Thulunchour then will continue under the cover of the forest until the path joins a dirt road, from which we can see panoramic views of the mountains. These include the Annapurnas, Lamjung, Gangapurna and Machhapuchhare (Fishtail) as well as three peaks over 8,000m: Dhaulagiri, Annapurna I and Manalsu, in the distance. Continuing along the jeep trail takes us gently uphill to Panchase Bhanjyang.

We will wake up early as our trek starts through typical local houses and the faces of varied ethnic tribes .Our route makes its way through subtropical forest to the village of khudi.After we pass the village of hulbhule.After crossing the suspension of the bridge our trail takes us upward to the village Bahundanda.

Today we will start our trek with a descent down the stone steps to the town of Bhadaure, and continue on to the jeep trail that takes you across a small stream and through regular villages, where you will get the chance to interact with locals and children will ask for chocolate! On reaching Naudanda the trail will rejoin the highway and your car will be waiting to pick you up and drive you back to the quiet city of Pokhara in time for lunch on Lakeside.

We will drive to Kathmandu from Pokhara on this day for 6-7 hours where we will have lunch on our way.
