Overview

Trekking in the Annapurna region is the best approach to have a close look at the formation of mysterious nature’s wonders which have facilitated this region to be highly concentrated trekking spot amongst the world since 1977 when it was first time opened for the foreigners. This circuit of Annapurna offers more variety than any other walk of equivalent length, and takes us through virtually every type of scenery that Nepal has to offer. There are superb views of Annapurna and Dhaulagiri, and the constant variety of landscapes ranges from sub-tropical through alpine to an arid semi-desert akin to Tibet; at the climax of the trek there’s a formidable 5416m. pass, the Thorong La, to cross.

This is a lodge-based trek, so we spend time in villages inhabited by many of Nepal’s different tribes, both Buddhist and Hindu. Every day brings opportunities to gain an insight into the local culture and interact with the local communities whose land we are walking through, whether by bartering for souvenirs, talking to the inquisitive children or relaxing at a tea house.

Though it is certainly demanding enough for the seasoned trekker, the Annapurna Circuit is still an excellent introduction to walking in Nepal for those who are confident of their fitness.

Consumer reviews

To DB Lama and Gogo trek team members

This is my first time to been here.I have heard about here before and dreamed for being here for its old cultures, buildings and lovely people. However due to limited time we cannot go to Bhaktapur for sightseeing. In these days trekking is the most impressed and exhausted by power. My bilateral thighs cramps during the course from Ghandruk to Deurali. Thanks Min for taking
care of me.The views in Ghandruk is very beautiful and luckily we see the Mt.Annapurna South.Though its tired its worth it.

The most excited me is the jungle safari. We all expected to see the tigers in the jungle but they seemed to be in the deep of the jungle. The real Rhino and deers appeared in front of us is very special experience. The guide Min is so nice too.I think I will be here soon.Because I want to play the paragliding and witness Yaks. And many old buildings in Bhaktapur.
