Our trail is relatively easy today and it goes down for few hours. But before we reach Boghara, we have to climb steep path for about a couple of hours. We then descend down before reaching Phedi and again ascend up until we reach Boghara. We will stay overnight at tented accommodation.

Todays walk will be quite difficult for us as we will need the help of ropes sometimes. The trail then descends down to a small ridge and crosses the forest to Jyardan. Crossing the rocky part, we eventually arrive at Doban where we stay overnight at tented accommodation.

From Doban, we will follow the trail passing through the beautiful forest and rapidly gain the altitude. Mountains seem to burst out all around. As we rapidly gain the altitude here, we need to keep our body hydrated. We will eventually reach the Italian Base Camp where we will just be in front of the west wall of Mount Dhaulagiri.

We will take this day as acclimatization. We will have to relax today as we will have a tough day tomorrow. Just move around and hike around some places there to make your body active.

We will cross the first glacier and then, we will probably be using a rope in a couple of tricky spots. After climbing the main glacier, we will get to see spectacular surrounding. We would rather require using the rope to cross the glacier. We setup camp at Glacier Camp where we stay overnight.

We will reach the Dhaulagiri Base Camp today. The rough rubble gives us the way to some smooth ice of the glacier. We will then climb steadily to the rough and chilling Dhaulagiri Base Camp where we can witness the magnificent north façade of Dhaulagiri I.

As we will be trekking constantly at the altitude above 5000m in next days, this day is essential for acclimatization. According to Health experts, we need to stay active instead of being idle today.

From Dhaulagiri Base Camp, we will head to French Pass today. Once we cross the steep moraine walls, we are safer.
