ISLAND PEAK (6421m.)

Island Peak 6169m also known as Imja Tse is one of the popular trekking peak in Nepal for climbing on Himalayas. From the summit, we can have a spectacular and awesome view of Everest , Nuptse (7,879m), Lhotse (8,516m), Lhotse Middle Peak (8,410m) and Lhotse Shar (8,383m). The views of Makalu (8463m) in the east, Baruntse and Amadablam in the south add more charm in climbing Island Peak. Island peak is suitable for beginners who want to prepare for big Himalayan expedition in Nepal.

Day 01: Fly to Lukla and trek to Phakding
Day 02: Trek to Namche Bazaar(3340)
Day 03: Trek to Khumjung (3790m).
Day 04: Acclimatization day in Khumjung.
Day 05: Trek to Tengboche Monastery (3867m).
Day 06: Trek to Dingboche (4343m)
Day 07: Trek to Chukung.
Day 08: Island Peak Base Camp.
Day 09: Start slowly climbing to the camp 1 on Island Peak. You have all day to reach that intermediate camp. Do not expect the luxury of the base camp, but rather expect a sleepless night dreaming of your first 6,000 m peak.
Day 10: Early morning, start going to the top. After camp 1, go up in the gully, traverse to the right, up on a wide stone field, cross the ridge to the glacier. Always beware of the crevasses. You are nearly halfway. Have a good trip to the top and safely down. The same day back to Chukung.
Day 11: Trek to Pangboche.
Day 12: Trek to Phortse.
Day 13: Trek to Khumjung.
Day 14: Trek to Phakding.
Day 15: Trek to Lukla.
Day 16: Fly back to Kathmandu. Transfer to hotel.
Day 17: Sight seeing
Day18: Departure
