Mardi Himal Peak Climbing - 5587m. - 17 Days

Mardi Himal lies less than 15 miles from Pokhara, and is situated at southerly high point of Mt. Annapurna massif. It is the lowest and the least climbed or visited peak.

Itinerary

Day 01: Arrival
We will pick you up at Tribhuwan international airport in our private vehicle and drop you at hotel. Overnight at hotel .
Day 02: Kathmandu sightseeing
Have breakfast and we will go for Kathmandu sightseeing .We will visit monkey temple , bouddhanath , Kathmandu durbar square and have lunch in between that .Then walk through Thamel street and Ason and then back to hotel and have dinner.
Day 03: Drive to Pokhara
We will have wake up alarm at 7 o’clock and after having breakfast we will head towards our next destination Pokhara in tourist bus for 4-5 hours where we will have lunch on our way to pokhara.After reaching there we can rest for sometime and visit pokhara’s beautiful places and can also capture natural beauties in our camera.
Day 04: Trek to Dhiprung
Half hour drive brings at the suburb of Pokhara Valley near Mardipul, from here adventure begins with downhill walk near the bridge at Mardipul after crossing the suspension bridge the path leads with a gradual walk for few hours passing through farm villages and fields and climbing towards Ghacok village a large Gurung village from here an hour trek we reach at Dhiprang by the hot spring for the overnight camp.
Day 05: Trek to Simre Kharka
After a good time in the hot spring at Dhiprung our walk lead us towards along the ridgeline, careful of the false trails that can lead you array! After being in the hot semi-tropic climate of the low area after few hours of walk on the ridge welcome by the cool mountain breeze and air with stunning views of Mt.Macchhapuchere at 6,997m to the west view of Annapurna I and South with Huinchuli to the east are the views of the granite mass of Annapurna IV -II and Lamjung Himal and leaving the forest area then reaching to a nice camping area at Simre-Kharka.
Day 06: Trek to Khorchon
From this wonderful place, trek heads towards the ridgeline on the up hill trail with some steep climb and reaching at Khorchon on the grazing pasture land for the overnight stop.
Day 07: Rest Day at Khorchon.
A necessary rest day for acclamatsation and to get back the strength from the yesterday’s steep climb to Khorchon, a short hike around can be done here as this area is less explored.
Day 08: Trek to Mardi Base Camp 4,100m.
The trek from here leads to another steep climb along the ridgeline to a hidden plateau beneath the South Face of Mardi Himal and the South-West Ridge of
Mt. Machhapuchare; this is also known as the 'Other Sanctuary' so called by Jimmy Roberts when he first discovered this area in the early 1970's, overnight stop at Base Camp.
Day 09: At BC for acclimatization and preparation for the climb.
Another rest day for acclamatsation and to explore around this area, preparation for the great climb to the summit of Mardi Himal, with grand panorama of the surrounding landscapes and snow capped mountians.
Day 10: Trek and climb to High Camp
From here at base camp the walk ascend gradually on steep path towards the col between the East Face of Mardi Himal that connects the ridge of Mt. Machhapuchare, high camp is placed at approx. 4,650 meters.
Day 11: Climbing Day and return to BC.
Morning before dawn we will leading our trek with a steep section of 45 degrees, further steep snow slopes leads to the summit of Mardi Himal, a fabulous views of all the giant snow capped mountains and deep valleys towards Pokhara, after a wonderful time here descend back to Base Camp.
Day 12: Trek all the way to Kumai.
Retrace the journey back to Kumai with downhill walk.
Day 13: Trek all the way to Mardipul.
Trek back to Mardipul to camp by the river bank descending back the same way on reaching the river bed walk is easier on the near level ground.
Day 14: Trek and drive to Pokhara.
A short walk brings you at the road head for the drive back to Pokhara.
Day 15: Drive back to Kathmandu.
Morning a scenic drive of 5-6 hours through the low lands and to mid hills on the 220 k.m. road 2-3 hours drive reaches to the busy town of Mugling Bazaar. From here another 3 hours of good drive following the Trisuli River reaches you to Kathmandu.
Day 16: Free day at leisure in Kathmandu.
This will be leisure day so you can go to spa or shopping if you want.
Day 17: Departure

This day you will be given farewell and be back to your home country.
