Sacred Lakes Trek - 10 Days


Day 01: Arrival
Kathmandu. Upon our arrival in the Tribhuwan International Airport (TIA) in Kathmandu and transfer to Hotel
Day 02: Kathmandu / Sundarijal (1350m)/Chisopani (2141m).
Drive Kathmandu / Sundarijal (1 Hour). The reservoir here supplies most of Kathmandu Valley's drinking water. Commence with a steep incline on stone steps passing shops and huge pipelines as we steadily climb to arrive at the ridge. Walk along the ridge for another 20 minutes and then finally descend to Chisopani Danda, with magnificent views of the Northern Himalayas and demarcates the northern limits of the Kathmandu Valley. Overnight in Chisopani
Day 03: Kutumsang (2492 m. /8101 ft.)
Chisapani is such a nice place from where you able to Dorgelakpa and Langtang Himalayan range. After breakfast trek descent about one and half hour, you reach a large Tamang village-Pati bhanjyang from where you again climb to cross a pass of 2470m and then descend to Gul Bhanjyang, another Tamang Village. From here the trail again hikes to a pass of 2620m before descends to Khtumsang. You will have splendid views, stretching from the Annapurna’s and Manaslu in the west to Numbur in the East. Stay overnight at the t ea house.
Day 04: Tharepati (3490 m. /8500 ft.)
From Kutumsang, there is no further permanent settlements until Melamchi Gaon, but since we head on to Gosaikund we bypass the village and head on to TharePati, the starting point for a tour of the Gosaikund Region, which consists of half derelict stables (goth) and several seasonal cabins for individual trekkers operated by Sherpa people providing basic accommodation and food. Overnight Tharepati.
Day 05: Phedi. (3630m)
From Khutumsang, the trail ascend through forest with superb views across to Numbur, Jugal Himal and many other snowcapped peaks, before you arrive a ridge form where a short descent brings you to Mangan Kharka at 3285m. Now, the trail gradually gains altitude through pine and rhododendron forest with good views down into the Helambu valley and across to Jugal Himal and Numbur. Finally reach at the Tharepati for overnight.
Day 06: Gosaikund (4312 m).
Early start essential. The trail up to the Laurebina Pass (4609m) is not difficult in itself, however it rises in altitude of more than a 1000 meters making walking slow with some difficulty in breathing because of low oxygen. After crossing over the pass, there is a breathtaking view of a portion of the Gosaikund Lakes (i.e. Surja Kund, Saraswati Kund and Bhairav Kund) and the panorama of the Ganesh Himal and the Langtang Mountain range. The Laurebina Pass, at the height of 4,609 meters, is at somewhat modest altitude for the Himalaya and presents no technical difficulties. Overnight Gosaikund.
Day 07: Sing Gompa (3350m).
From the lake- Saraswati Kunda, the trail ascends to a ridge. There are good views across Langtang valley to Langtang Lirung. To the west are dramatic views of Himalchuli, Ganesh Himal and Manaslu. From this ridge, we descend to Sing Gompa via Laurebina. There is a small monastery and a cheese factory in Sing Gompa. Stay overnight at the tea house.
Day 08: Dunche (1950m)
After breakfast, the trail descends on a path where one sees the destruction of this once wonderful forest by fire caused by lightning. The trees stand gnarled and burnt and one can only imagine the beauty of the glory days. The trail bifurcates and we take the lower trail to Dunche. The descent is steep made much worse by the uneven steps and after about 4 hours, arrive at Dunche. Overnight at Dunche.
Day 09: Drive to Kathmandu (1350m.
Today after an early morning breakfast your guide will take you to the bus station for day scenic countryside drive back to Kathmandu through the bumpy road till Betrbati Bazaar, After Betrabati Bazaar the road begin better. Stay overnight at the hotel.

Day 10: Final departure
Today you will transfer to the International airport for your next destination.
